Fairly new at the reef experience, this is my first set up - a 26 gal bowfront. It's been running about 9 months. Mostly softs/LPS.
Here's a before and after. First pic is from December. Second pic is after Detritus helped me out with more liverock.
Looking foward to the DIY this weekend.... |

Newest Coral to the tank - Alveopora sp. from JRE. My wife couldn't leave the "little flowers" in the shop. I hope it doesn't starve...anyone out there that has had one of these last a couple years?
Same piece under Blue LED moonlight.
I've had this Sun Coral (Tubastraea) in the tank since last August. Feed it about 1-2 times/week. Still making new growth...
LTA that has done pretty well. Eats like a horse. Feeding it silvers/shrimp. I really haven't seen the pink skunk feed it much.
Glove polyp (Clavularia sp.) Hasn't spread like I thought it would. Has stayed isolated to its own piece of LR.

Very nice tank, great variety. Alvepora is a great coral, in my experience not that easy to keep. I would target feed it when you feed your sun coral. They like moderate light and can bleach out under halides. _________________ "The anenome of my anenome is my friend". |
